Voting Rights

President Lyndon Johnson said, “A man without a vote is a man without protection.” The more Kentuckians involved in the process, the stronger our democracy. I believe in actions that will make voting broader and easier…actions that will maximize voter turnout. They include motor-voter laws that automate registration, easy access to absentee voting and restoration of voting rights to non-violent felons who have satisfied their debt. I will work to extending voting hours on election days and bring the polls to the people…to folks in adult care homes and to youthful voters on college campuses.
